Introducing
Growth-onomics Athlete Sponsorship Programme
We want to back athletes with big ambitions and the commitment to work towards them. Athletes who set challenging goals and prepare accordingly.
That’s why we are launching Growth-onomics Athlete Sponsorship, a programme through which we sponsor athletes as they train, compete, and work towards their sporting goals.
The programme gives us a way to reward the effort that goes into pursuing a sporting goal. Training continues long before the next competition, and we want to support athletes at all stages of the journey.
Follow the athletes we support as they prepare for their next competition and reflect on what they learn along the way.
Why we’re getting involved
At Growth-onomics, we’re used to working towards results that take time.
Progress often means making small improvements, learning from setbacks and staying consistent before the outcome reflects the effort.
We recognise that same patience in sport. Athletes keep training between competitions, making adjustments and returning to things they haven’t yet mastered. A result tells you how a competition went, but it rarely tells you everything that went into getting there.
We created this programme because we believe that work deserves support at every stage. Sponsorship gives us a practical way to support people who put time and effort into something they strive to achieve.
Meet Alexandros Tsikov
Our programme begins with Alexandros Tsikov, a padel athlete and coach competing in Greece and internationally.
Alexandros has competed at the highest level of Greek padel and has been included in the Greek national team’s pre-selection process. He also has international tournament experience and has scored points in the FIP world ranking.
His focus now is on developing his game through regular competition and structured preparation. Alexandros wants to maintain a strong presence in Greek Padel while gaining more experience on the international circuit.
Growth-onomics has signed on to sponsor him as he pursues his goals.
Building experience at home and abroad
Alexandros’s competitive plan combines major tournaments in Greece with appearances on the FIP Tour, the international padel circuit.
Domestic competition remains an important part of his season. Alongside it, he plans to enter international events more regularly, earn further ranking points and work his way up the world ranking.
Each tournament allows him to test his preparation against different opponents. The aim is to turn that experience into improvements he can take into the next match.
Training with a purpose
Alexandros’s preparation combines physical conditioning, technical practice and tactical work. Coaching, match analysis and recovery round out his development plan.
He plans to complement this work with training blocks at padel academies in Spain. These sessions would give him time in a more demanding and competitive environment, with academy coaching to help him develop his game.
His training involves developing skills that withstand competition pressure.
Why we’re backing Alexandros
Alexandros is building on experience in Greek and international padel.
He has competed at the highest level in Greece, been included in the national team’s pre-selection process and earned FIP world ranking points. He now wants to compete more regularly internationally while maintaining a strong presence in Greece. He also plans to train in Spain’s academy to develop his game further.
That combination of competitive experience and ambition is why we’re backing him. We’re supporting Alexandros as he works to advance in a sport he already competes in as both an athlete and a coach.
Follow Alexandros through the season
Among Alexandros’ plans are competition in Greece, international tournaments, and training in Spain.
We’ll share updates on his preparation and competition experiences, giving you insight into the work between events and what happens on court.
